Huawei Watch Ultimate 2: Heart Failure Risk Assessment & New Features! (2026)

Feeling concerned about heart health? Huawei has just rolled out a significant update for its Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch, packed with new features designed to keep you informed about your well-being. This update introduces a heart failure risk assessment, potentially giving users valuable insights into their cardiovascular health. The update is rolling out in batches with HarmonyOS firmware version 6.0.0.209.

So, what's new? The standout feature is the coronary heart disease risk assessment. Users can participate in a research project through the Huawei Research app on their smartphone.

Here's how it works: Once enrolled, the app collects vital sign data day and night. After wearing the watch for just 3 to 4 days, you'll receive your coronary heart disease risk assessment results. Pretty neat, right?

Important Note: This feature requires a smartphone running HarmonyOS 5 or later, with the Huawei Research app updated to version 1.1.10.320 or later.

But that's not all! The update also includes a wheelchair mode for a personalized exercise experience, real-time simulated cadence support for outdoor cycling, 3D distance compensation prompts, and bicycle type selection for a more professional cycling experience. Plus, you can now use your watch to remotely control some Android devices and capture photos – talk about convenience!

The Watch Ultimate 2, first unveiled at November's Mate 80 series launch, is a technological marvel. It was the first to use the dolphin sonar network capability and supports the AI assistant. Its design is also impressive, featuring double-toned nano-tech ceramic bezels and a wave-textured fluoroelastomer strap for a perfect fit. The case is made of hard-coated Zirconium-based liquid metal, and the display is protected with sapphire glass for high durability. The X-TAP technology, similar to other Watch series, is included to help you monitor important health vitals with a simple tap. The Watch can run up to 4.5 days in typical use and up to 11 days with power-saving mode.

Controversy & Comment Hooks: What do you think about the increasing integration of health assessment features in smartwatches? Do you trust the accuracy of these assessments, or are you skeptical? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
