The heavy rain has significantly impacted the raw water supply, forcing treatment plants to temporarily shut down.
And this is the part most people miss... The council anticipates that the treatment plants may remain offline for an extended period due to the predicted continued wet weather. This is why maximum water restrictions are in place.
